Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer news and rumours, including Wolverhampton Wanderers’ January moves and a potential departure from Aston Villa.
Wolverhampton Wanderers are reported to be in talks to sign Portuguese midfielder Manu Silva from Vitoria de Guimaraes this month for a fee of just over £10m.
Wolves are set to take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Monday in the Premier League, with the club looking to move three points clear of the relegation zone.
The visitors are currently in 17th place with 16 points and are level on points with Ipswich Town, but Fabrizio Romano reports that boss Vitor Pereira could soon be receive reinforcements in their bid to stay in the top flight, with the club in talks to sign midfielder Silva.
Silva has only started seven times in the Primeira Liga for Vitoria de Guimaraes, but the 23-year-old has shown a willingness to get on the ball and play progressively from deeper areas.
Perhaps the midfielder is seen as the long-term replacement for former player Ruben Neves, whose passing range and set-piece deliveries were vital to Wolves for many years.

Aston Villa boss Unai Emery has admitted that his side could lose defender Diego Carlos in the January transfer window.
The 31-year-old has only started eight times for Villa in the league this term and was said to be available for transfer this past summer.
When asked whether the defender would be sold in the buildup to his side’s clash against Arsenal, Emery told reporters: “I don’t know. He had a medical report this morning and he is not feeling good.
“He is not going to train and he is not going to be available tomorrow. I know they are, more or less, in conversation about the possibility to leave, but I don’t know.”
Carlos was reportedly left out of Villa’s squad for their clash against Everton last Wednesday as a result of injury, but he claimed on Instagram that he was not injured.
Fenerbahce are reportedly trying to get a deal over the line for the Brazilian, and an exit in January would make financial sense considering the centre-back would have just 12 months left on his contract in the summer.

Everton to raid Premier League rival in bid for survival?
Everton are said to have the opportunity to sign Southampton full-back Kyle Walker-Peters for as little as £5m this January transfer window.
David Moyes helped guide the Toffees to a 3-2 win against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon, with the club scoring more goals against Spurs in than they had in their prior six top-flight matches.
Everton are 16th with 20 points and are four points from 18th-placed Ipswich Town, but despite Moyes bringing back a sense of optimism to Goodison Park, the Merseysiders are still a long way from securing safety.
According to Football Insider, Everton are actively looking at ways of improving their squad to boost their chances of staying in the division, and Walker-Peters could be a realistic option for the Toffees as he would not be prohibitively expensive.
Walker-Peters is out of contract at the end of the season, and his ability to play as either a left or right-back makes him an attractive option this month.
Additionally, the 27-year-old has considerable Premier League experience given he has made 135 appearances in the league, finding the back of the net on two occasions and registering 11 assists.
