Manchester United have made an enquiry for Crystal Palace defender Tyrick Mitchell, a report has claimed.
The Red Devils have been linked with the signing of Lecce defender Patrick Dorgu but could do with the sale of several out-of-favour players to free up funds.
Ruben Amorim has been forced to play right-back Diogo Dalot in a left wing-back position this term, with the injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.
The latter has been used sparingly by the Manchester United boss, having returned to full fitness this term after a absences of more than a year.
According to ESPN, the Red Devils are ‘exploring the possibility’ of signing a left full-back if they can afford it this month.
In addition to the Denmark international Dorgu, the report claims that enquiries have been made for Wolves‘ Rayan Ait-Nouri and Crystal Palace defender Tyrick Mitchell.

Manchester United are in talks over a possible deal for Lecce and Denmark star Patrick Dorgu
United had initially targeted Nuno Mendes at Paris Saint-Germain but that was always a difficult deal due to the expense, Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez was another under consideration but again would not be sold cheaply.
Amorim is keen to strengthen his options before letting players out with United facing Rangers in the Europa League on Thursday and still in the FA Cup.
Terms for Antony’s departure to Betis have roundly been agreed but there are still details to be finalised as Amorim evaluates what he has to work with going forward.
Dorgu’s contract with Serie A side Lecce expires in 2029. The 20-year-old started out in his youth career at Copenhagen-based side Husum Boldklub before moving to Nordsjaelland’s youth academy.
In 2022 he signed for Lecce and a year later he was promoted to the senior team, making his debut in August 2023 in the Coppa Italia.
Mitchell, meanwhile, has started every game for Palace in the Premier League this season and impressed as the Eagles have climbed up the table.
He has made a total of 170 appearances for the south London club, scoring three goals and assisting 11.
