West Ham get great injury news
Michail Antonio`s return to form in the last couple of months could not have come at a better time.
The No 9 as on target once again as he scored the winner in the first leg of the Conference semi final.
But the game looked to have come at a cost for Moyes when Antonio was seen limping following TV interviews on the pitch after the final whistle.
The striker was then absent from the squad for the lacklustre defeat to Brentford at the weekend with the manager claoming he has a calf knock.
That sparked fears that Antonio will miss Thursday’s game in Holland. And given how key he has been to West Ham`s paper thin goal threat of late, that would have been a real blow.
For a change, though, the Injury Gods have decided that we are to have some good news on the injury front for the Hammers.
The Claret and Hugh key contact revealed to us that he has a dead leg and there are hopes he will be fit whilst the The London Evening Standard confirmed the absence was “precautionary.”
So that is very welcome news indeed. And it will have Hammers fans hoping that we can see the job through and appear in the final in Prague against either Basel or Fiorentina on June 7th .
