West Ham safety wait goes on
West Ham are now as safe as it looks possible short of last games goal avalanches from the likes of Nottingham Forest or Leeds United.
Wolverhampton Wanderers held the Toffees to a 1-1 draw at Molineux meaning the Merseyside club are now on 33 points – four behind the Hammers – with one game left.
Meanwhile Forest kick off at home to Arsenal this evening needing to win that one to draw level with us on points but with a goal difference 17 goals worse than ours.
Leeds of course arrive at the London Stadium tomorrow and a point will see us entirely safe whilst Leicester City – second of bottom – need to win both their last games, the final one being against us, to have a chance of survival.
A defeat could leave us needing to win our final game of the season at Leicester City dependent on how things go at Forest with the east midlands outfit visiting Palace.
Leeds have a goal difference 11 goals worse than ours whilst as things stand the Foxes are four goals worse than the Hammers.
