Moyes to take hand brake off !
David Moyes addressed the media during his pre-match press conference ahead of his side’s clash with Leeds yesterday afternoon.
And the manager suggested that the West Ham fans will get to see an expressive, attacking and exciting performance from their team against Leeds today, as quoted by the official West ham site
He said: “This is a great opportunity when you have reached the final and hopefully the atmosphere inside the stadium on Sunday will give us a real chance to play without as much pressure as we have been under for a long time.
And maybe give the players the opportunity to show the levels they can reach. We have not been in this position all season and let’s show supporters in the last home game of the season what we can do.”
The main gripe that many of us have had with Moyes this season is the turgid style of football that has been served up, in spite of the fact that he has some supremely talented footballers at his disposal.
Counter attacking football worked for the Hammers for two seasons, but Premier League teams have clearly wised up to our playing style this term and our supremo has failed to find a solution.
Moyes’s comments ahead of the West Ham vs Leeds clash today suggest that the home fans could get a glimpse of what life could be like if and when the Scot takes the handbrake off.
