For those who won’t be able to purchase a ticket for the final, Mail Sport broke the news last week that the club are exploring plans to install a fan zone adjacent to the London Stadium.
Now that the Irons have officially reached the final, the club may look to go ahead with the fan zone due to the fact that only 4,890 Hammers fans will be able to buy a ticket.
Following the game, Hammers fans were quick to book their flights to Czech Republic.
Skyscanner reports that the cheapest return flights to Prague are costing almost £1,100
Unfortunately for fans of the London side, the cheapest direct flight to Prague now costs £1,100 according to Skyscanner, and is likely to get worse as thousands of fans look to travel to the country’s capital.
Around 10,000 West Ham fans without tickets attended last season’s Europa League semi-final defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt. With the Hammers now in the Conference League final, it is believed many will also travel for the club’s first European final in 47 years.
UEFA initially set aside 8,500 tickets for the public, and reserved 4,300 for sponsors and national associations. It means each team is getting just 4,890 tickets for the final.
The governing body insisted that they could not change the venue as it was given to Prague last year following a year-long bidding process. With that being said, they vow to put next year’s final in a stadium with a minimum capacity of 30,000.
