Declan, Manu and Paqueta star in West Ham win
West Ham came of age against former boss Sam Allardyce’s Leeds United providing the near perfect finish to their Premier League season with goals from Declan Rice and Manu Lanzini – on what could easily be their last home games in claret and blue – along with another from Jarrod Bowen and a magnificent performance from Lucas Paqueta .
And it meant that Leeds go into their final game of the season against Spurs knowing their relegation fate is now out of their hands.
The first half an hour saw Leeds have most of the play, as the Hammers looked more than a touch sluggish.
Then, much like the goal we conceded against Brentford, we fell foul of the long throw yet again ! McKennie hurled the ball in from out wide on the right and Rodrigo was unmarked and volleyed in from 16 yards.
Ten minutes later parity was restored, when after a sustained period on top. Fornals dinked a beautiful ball into the box for Bowen who crossed for Rice to volley home
That was the new Hammer of the year`s best scoring record in a Premier League season with his fourth goal of the season
The second half was a bit of a snooze-fest until the hour mark, when suddenly we woke up with Ings spinning away from Ayling and playing in Bowen who finished superbly off the inside of the upright.
Manuel Lanzini scored the third after fine work again from Paqueta who ran through the Leeds defence before cutting back for Manu to net.
