The Irons announced in March 2023 that the Premier League club were heading down under for two friendlies in Perth. They are yet to add to their schedule with West Ham reaching the Europa Conference League final. While their top-flight survival had also been in some doubt.
Moyes will hope to oversee a solid run of results during West Ham’s pre-season friendlies in 2023 to then have a more comfortable Premier League campaign in 2023/24. The Hammers only finished the 2022/23 season in 14th place and were just six points safe from relegation.
When does West Ham United’s pre-season start?
The Irons are yet to announce when the West Ham first-team squad will reconvene at Rush Green to begin their pre-season training in 2023. The Irons regrouped on June 26 last year and will likely arrive back around the same date. Their first fixture in 2022 came on July 12.

As of May 30, West Ham United have announced just two pre-season friendlies for their tour of Australia in 2023. Moyes’ squad will head down under in early July to face A-League outfit Perth Glory. The Irons will also play a London derby with Tottenham Hotspur three days later.
