Bayern Munich are willing to pay £87m and offer players to sign Declan Rice, with the Bundesliga champions battling Arsenal and Man United for the West Ham captain
Bayern Munich have a confirmed interest in West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.
The England international, valued at around £120million by his manager David Moyes, has been expected to join Arsenal once his season is over while West Ham believe Manchester United are also willing to make an offer following their attempts to sign the 24-year old last summer.
Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel is an admirer and was open to signing Rice during his time as Chelsea boss. Tuchel is understood to have spoken to Rice and the player’s father last week along with Bayern technical director Marco Neppe.
The Bundesliga champions are willing to pay around £87million for Rice but could also offer players to meet West Ham’s valuation.
Arsenal, for their part, are believed to have around £180m to spend this summer plus what they generate in player sales.

Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse has been earmarked as a potential replacement for Rice
They are expected to offer a deal worth around £90m for Rice but want to recruit another midfielder too, plus a forward, centre back and full-back.
United offered a deal worth up to £100m for Rice last summer and remain admirers but their priority is to sign a striker.
Rice cut a relaxed figure while playing golf with teammates Danny Ings, Flynn Downes and Aaron Cresswell on West Ham’s training camp in Portugal yesterday. Moyes has brought his squad together in preparation for next week’s Europa Conference League final against Fiorentina.
Rice has been keen to concentrate on winning that game and shut out the noise surrounding his future.
West Ham have been evaluating a number of midfield targets to fill the void Rice will leave. Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse has been mooted but he is expected to wait before making any decision on his future amid tentative interest from other Premier League clubs.
West Ham also have an interest in Roma’s USA international right back Bryan Reynolds but could loan him out to Sparta Prague. The 21-year old has been on loan at Westerlo in Belgium.
