Manchester United are reportedly eyeing Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku, with L’Équipe highlighting the Frenchman’s frustration over his limited playing time.
Paris Saint-Germain may also monitor the situation, considering the possibility of bringing Nkunku back after he left to secure a more prominent role.
However, Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg has indicated that Nkunku has no plans to leave in the winter transfer window. If his playing time doesn’t improve by the summer, though, he may begin to explore other options.
Despite this, Football Insider reported on Friday that Chelsea are hesitant to let Nkunku go, even with Manchester United showing interest.
French pundit praises Christopher Nkunku amid PSG rumors
RMC Sport pundit Daniel Riolo validates this lead, and he is convinced that the player of the French team could do a lot of good for the capital club should they decide to pursue the player for him to return to his boyhood side.
“He’s a type of player we don’t see much in our football,” Riolo said (h/t Le10Sport). “He can hold onto the ball, play in that false No. 9 role, but if you put him out wide, he can still perform well.
“He’s a talented player, no doubt. (…) He moved to a club with 75 players. Remember, he also left PSG because there were so many top-quality players there. Maybe PSG will bring him back. He has some really impressive technical ability.”
