James Ward-Prowse has broken his silence amidst strong links with a move to West Ham from Southampton.
Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse has been heavily linked with a move to West Ham this summer (talkSPORT).
However, the Saints will demand around £50 million from the Hammers for the 28-year-old.

West Ham boss will be desperate to strengthen his central midfield ranks at the London Stadium this summer, especially if Declan Rice leaves.
It seems as though the Southampton skipper is one man who Moyes really likes. But what does the 28-year-old think about leaving his boyhood club?
James Ward-Prowse breaks his silence amidst strong links with a move to West Ham
When asked by The Sun if Sunday’s 4-4 draw against Liverpool was a nice way to bow out if that turns out to be his last game for Southampton, the 28-year-old responded:
“It is nice of course, this is a club that has meant a lot to me. I come away this season with my head held high knowing I’ve done everything I can for this club, not only this year but ever since I came through the door as an eight year old. To play a part in not maintaining that Premier League status hurts me but I’m sure this club will be back in the future.”
Ward-Prowse, 28, is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League, and has been described as a ‘brilliant’ player by The Athletic.
His ability from set-pieces is second to none – can you imagine how much of a threat we would be from corners and free-kicks with JWP in our team?
Here’s the thing, I think James Ward-Prowse would be a very good signing for West Ham. However, he shouldn’t be viewed as a replacement for Declan Rice. Moyes needs to find someone else to fill the void left behind by Dec, whenever he eventually moves on.
