‘Ripping off fans’: West Ham supporters slam club as ‘disgraceful’ ahead of Europa Conference League final for charging £80 for third kit just TWO WEEKS after it was available for £27
West Ham United supporters have taken to social media to criticise the club for charging £80 for their third kit ahead of the Europa Conference League final.
The Irons face Fiorentina as they look to lift a European trophy under David Moyes on Wednesday night.
Moyes’ side will be wearing their third kit in Prague as they seek European glory, but the fans have voiced their concerns after the price has risen from £27 to £80.
One user explained: ‘West Ham’s third kit was £27 two weeks ago.
‘They’ve added the UECL final writing on it — now charging £80. Extraordinary.’
A West Ham fan responded, stating that the price rise goes against the morals of the club he supports.
‘Oh dear West Ham….that’s not our way,’ he wrote.
Fellow Iron Kay joined the criticism, stating: ‘Disgrceful ripping off fans…’
Other supporters, such as Costia Thomas, took to Twitter to discredit the design of the kit, admitting that it wasn’t even worth the original £27.
‘I paid the £27 and even that wasn’t worth it. The spaghetti sauce stain on the bottom isn’t even in HD,’ they wrote.
With the stitching on the kit looking unimpressive, fans also ripped into the club for providing poor quality.
Edgeware Hammer said: ‘And look at this stitching…… Unacceptable.’
The West Ham players will be fully focused on the match against Fiorentina, knowing that victory will see them play Europa League football next season.
A defeat in Prague will end their European dreams for next campaign following a bottom-half finish in the Premier League.
