West Ham lead race for Barnes
West Ham are leading the race for Leicester City winger Harvey Barnes.
And according to The Telegraph – which has good contacts to the Irons board – we are set to submit a £30 million bid for the player who scored 13 goals in the Foxes relegation season last term.
That is currently about £10 million below what the Foxes are after but the Hammers board make a habit of going in low before upping the bid later should they need to which of course makes sense.
We are not alone in our hopes to land the 25 year old who was impressive during an obviously very poor season in 22/23 but three other clubs interested.
Three other clubs in race for Barnes
We understand that Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are interested in Barnes, but West Ham have made the most serious move so far and are expected to open negotiations with Leicester now their season is over although David Moyes decision on his Hammers future is bound to affect things.
