Hammers boss David Moyes is clearly keen to add more raw pace and power to his front-line this summer.
Fati is someone who has been on West Ham’s radar for quite some time. In fact, the Barca winger was just 17 when his family apparently agreed for him to join West Ham, but he ended up staying at the Camp Nou in the end.
So it’s no surprise that the Hammers might be moving in for him once again. However, Man United could well be a big problem for us…
Report makes big Ansu Fati to Manchester United claim that is gutting for West Ham
If the 20-year-old is to leave the Camp Nou this summer, it will only be for a Premier League ‘powerhouse’ like Man United, according to Mundo Deportivo.
When Fati burst onto the scene at with Barcelona four years ago, he was labelled as the ‘new Messi’ (talkSPORT).
Meanwhile, talkSPORT have also described the Barca star as ‘world-class’.
However, his form has really dropped off over the past years or so, with injuries having wreaked havoc with his progress.
In spite of that, Fati is still an unbelievably talented young player.
The 20-year-old possesses blistering pace, exceptional skill and a really intelligent football brain that defies his tender years.
There is, of course, no guarantee that Erik ten Hag will attempt to bring Ansu Fati to Manchester United this summer.
However, the fact that the Barcelona star has no interest in moving to team inside the bottom half of the Premier League table is a real gutter for West Ham.
Fati could have been an unbelievable signing for us. It clearly won’t be happening this summer though.
