Emerson Palmieri becomes the FIRST player to win all three UEFA club competitions after West Ham’s Europa Conference League triumph… and he’s now set to get the trophy tattooed on his leg!
West Ham defender Emerson Palmieri has written his name into the history books after becoming the first player to win all three UEFA club competitions following his side’s Europa Conference League victory against Fiorentina on Wednesday.
The Hammers left it late to clinch their first trophy in 43 years as Jarrod Bowen netted a last-minute winner after Fiorentina’s Giacomo Bonaventura had cancelled out Said Benrahma’s penalty.
The dramatic victory followed on from Emerson winning the Europa League with Chelsea in 2019, and then the Champions League with the same club two years later. He also played in the final when Italy won the European Championships in 2021.
The 28-year-old already has the Champions League and Euros trophy tattooed onto his right calf, and promised in the build-up to Wednesday’s match that he would get the Europa Conference League trophy inked alongside them if West Ham emerged victorious.
He is now due another trip to the tattoo parlour after the Premier League outfit’s famous win.

Emerson has not always been a regular starter in his cup runs in previous seasons, but he has been given the nod more often than not by David Moyes in Europe this term.
The Italian full back has started eight European matches for West Ham this season, and played the full 90 minutes on Wednesday night.
Heading into this season’s European finals, three players had the opportunity to ‘complete’ club football.
Tammy Abraham fell just short as Roma lost the Europa League final on penalties against Sevilla last week. He had previously won the Champions League with Chelsea alongside Emerson in 2021, before adding the Europa Conference League to his collection with Roma last year.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan has the chance to join Emerson in his exclusive club when his Inter Milan side take on Manchester City in the Champions League final on Saturday.
The Armenian playmaker won the Europa League with Manchester United in 2017, and lifted the Europa Conference League trophy at Roma last season before joining the Nerazzurri.
