‘BOWEN MADNESS’: West Ham fans laud Jarrod for Europa Conference League-winning goal… with one supporter predicting that the winger would score the winner in Prague
West Ham fans have heaped praise on Europa Conference League final goalscorer Jarrod Bowen after his late strike saw the Irons lift the European trophy.
With the score level at 1-1 after Said Benrahma‘s opener and Giacamo Bonaventura’s equaliser, Bowen broke in the last minute before finding the back of the net.
The strike blew the roof off the stadium, with the Irons erupting in Prague as they were on the way to winning a European trophy.
Taking to social media, fans reacted to the winner, lauding Bowen for his effort as one fan wrote: ‘BOWEN MADNESS!’.
Another took to Twitter to exclaim: ‘JARROD BOWEN AT THE 90TH MINUTE! 2-1 WEST HAM’.

Fellow supporter Ace Boogie wrote: ‘Bowen you’ll go down in history’, while another fan simply praised the winger for his performance.
He said: ‘Bowen. What a player’.
Other Twitter users couldn’t believe what they were seeing, with one finally coming to terms with the fact that West Ham could do it.
‘West Ham could actually make it happen I can’t believe it,’ they wrote.
Further praise came in for Bowen as Canadian fan Marky admitted he was lost for words, stating: ‘Jarrod Bowen, what a lovely man.
‘Lost for words. everywhere we gooooooooooooo’.
West Ham fans are sure to be celebrating in Prague, with user PRG giving a view of what’s to come.
He predicted: ‘Bowen’s on fire gonna be ringing tonight in Prague ahahahahaha’.
And one West Ham supporter made the boldest prediction of all, tweeting that Bowen would net the winner late on to win the Irons the trophy.
‘Or Bowen will score in the last minute!’ he joked, before seeing his prediction live out in front of his very eyes.
David Moyes’ side will be celebrating long into the night, with the victory not only guaranteeing them silverware.
Speaking to BT Sport after the match, West Ham’s Kurt Zouma, Thilo Kehrer and Maxwel Cornet gave their reaction.
‘Everyone is happy, let’s party,’ said Zouma. ‘We were confident we would win this one. We had a good feeling. It is time to celebrate now.’
Kehrer, on what he thought when he came on in the second half, said: ‘Just get it done. The team we have is incredible.’
Cornet, who was on the bench, added: ‘It was hard for us as well [as substitutes] but we did it for our fans, and our families. We are really happy.’
The Irons will now play in the Europa League next season, having known that defeat in Prague would have seen them without European football next term.
