Fabrizio Romano has delivered a big update on West Ham United’s move for outstanding Declan Rice replacement Edson Alvarez.
With a number of players on the way out and the impending sale of Declan Rice, boss David Moyes faces another rebuild of sorts at West Ham.
A host of players have been linked with moves to West Ham as potential replacements for Rice.
West Ham are said to be seriously interested in for Fulham ace Palhinha and Ajax star Edson Alvarez, to name just two.

Following the sale of Rice’s England midfield partner Jude Bellingham, Borussia Dortmund are also said to be interested in Ajax and Mexico defensive midfielder Alvarez.
But Bild reassuringly claimed the Hammers are prepared to meet Ajax’s €45 million (£38 million) valuation of the 25-year-old and pay him a far bigger salary than he would earn at Dortmund.
Now Fabrizio Romano has delivered a big update on a West Ham move for outstanding Rice replacement Alvarez.
Speaking on Twitter, transfer reporter Romano confirmed West Ham’s interest.
Worrying update for Hammers
But he says Dortmund are pushing to try and get a deal done and are preparing to make an official bid.
More worrying still for West Ham, Romano also claims Alvarez is keen on a move to the German side.
“Borussia Dortmund keep working on the negotiations to bring in Edson Alvarez as new signing,” Romano states.
“Dortmund proposal has been made to the player as he’s keen on the move, then official bid will be presented to Ajax.
“West Ham are also interested but BVB now pushing as expected.”
Dortmund do have £115m burning a hole in their pockets following the sale of Bellingham to Real Madrid.
Although West Ham know they too are about to come in for a similar windfall from the sale of Rice.
Should West Ham miss out on the Mexican midfielder, a number of other players have been linked besides Palhinha.
They include Yunus Musah and James Ward-Prowse.
