Honest star Manuel Lanzini has snubbed David Moyes when asked to name his favourite West Ham boss and picks best player too.
After eight seasons, 226 appearances and 32 goals Manuel Lanzini is leaving West Ham, the club confirmed on Friday.
The 30-year-old ‘little jewel’ has become a genuine Hammers hero but had faced an uncertain future at the London Stadium after falling down the pecking last season.
The Argentine midfielder is out of contract at the end of the month.
And although West Ham had the option to extend Lanzini’s deal by a further two years the decision has been taken to part ways.
A true Hammers hero many felt has been underused by Moyes
Lanzini will be remembered for some brilliant goals. But none more so than that barnstorming equaliser in the legendary 3-3 comeback draw at Tottenham.
Some fans feel alleged Villa target Lanzini has been underused by David Moyes at West Ham.
Especially given the team’s struggles to keep possession – the Hammers had the second worst possession statistics in the Premier League last season – and the difficult spell endured by Tomas Soucek.
Since the announcement Moyes himself has admitted Lanzini is too good to be a bit-part player.

The Argentine spoke out in interviews and on social media last season about his lack of game time.
Now he will seek that elsewhere.
Before leaving West Ham, the club sat down with Lanzini to ask him to choose his West Ham XI and boss from his eight years in east London.

When asked to name his best manager from his time at the club, Lanzini chose the man who brought him here – Slaven Bilic.
“We had an amazing squad under Slaven, so I will have to go with him,” Lanzini told the official website.
And there will be no surprises when it comes to the player Lanzini regards as the best he has played with at West Ham.
A certain Mr Dimitri Payet.
He added: “Dimi was the sort of player who could win the game on his own. He is probably the best player I have played with at West Ham United.”
