Journalist who broke Lucas Paqueta deal says West Ham could sign £51 million striker Jonathan David
Ben Jacobs – a football journalist for CBS, has been speaking about the current situation of the talented Lille forward, 23.
Jacobs took to Twitter to provide an in-depth update on where the Canadian striker could be plying his trade next season:
What an unbelievable signing he would be for whichever club wins the race for his signature.
David is a sensational young talent.
He possesses electric pace and is a real live-wire. The Lille ace is a good finisher as well. He has already scored 24 goals in 40 games for his country, and bagged 24 goals in 37 Ligue 1 games for Lille this season (Transfermarkt).
Jonathan David would be an incredible addition for West Ham. His pace, finishing and movement would add so much to Moyes’s attacking ranks.
The Canadian’s blistering pace would make him ideally suited to Moyes’s counter attacking setup, if he persists with that system of course.
And if we manage to sign David for £51 million this summer, it would be a huge statement of intent from the Hammers.
