The ‘next few days are crucial’ according to an exciting claim being made about a West Ham bid for triple league champion Hirving Lozano.
It was almost a year ago to the day that West Ham allegedly held ‘concrete talks’ to sign Napoli and Mexico star Hirving Lozano.
The move never materialised as West Ham signed Maxwel Cornet and Lucas Paqueta instead.
But now, with just one year remaining on the 27-year-old’s contract in Naples, Lozano is once again being heavily linked with the Hammers.
It was reported over the weekend by Area Napoli, that reported David Moyes target Lozano will definitely leave Napoli in the summer transfer window.
‘Next few days crucial’ as exciting claim made about West Ham bid for triple league champion Hirving Lozano
And last week the Mexican’s previous agent Alessandro Monfrecola suggested his former client could be London Stadium bound.
Lozano is quick and ridiculously sharp so would add another dimension to West Ham’s attacking play.
With Manuel Lanzini leaving, the Hammers need more creativity. We must not forget how the team struggled to create chances and score goals for most of the Premier League season.
The 60-capped Mexico international also works tirelessly for his teams off the ball, something which Moyes demands from his forward players.
Lozano has been a hit wherever he has been. The attacking midfielder won the Mexican league with Pachuca before lifting the Eredivisie title with PSV.
He then helped Napoli to their first Serie A title in 33 years last season. But he was reduced to a bit-part role, hence the expectation that he will now be sold.
Italian press: ‘An offer is imminent’
The ‘next few days are crucial’ according to an exciting claim made about a West Ham bid for triple league champion Lozano.
According to a new report from Italian outlet Il Mattino on Tuesday, West Ham are aiming to secure the services of the Napoli winger and the “next few days are set to be crucial as an offer is imminent”.
The report also states that new Napoli manager Rudi Garcia is content to let Lozano leave to raise funds given the array of attacking talent already at his disposal.
There is obviously a lot of noise during the transfer window. But Lozano is a player West Ham have been consistently linked with since Moyes returned to the club in 2020.
So this is certainly one to watch.
