Arsenal will return with a THIRD bid for Declan Rice after seeing their second offer worth £90m rejected by West Ham – who are holding out for at least £100m
Arsenal will return with a third offer for No 1 target Declan Rice after seeing their latest bid worth £90million rejected by West Ham.
As revealed by Mail Sport on Tuesday – the Gunners’ new bid, believed to be worth £75million in guaranteed cash with an extra £15m in add ons – has been turned down as the Hammers continue to hold out for a minimum £100m.
Well-placed sources had indicated an expectation that Arsenal’s second offer would be worth a minimum £90m plus further performance-related incentives pushing the deal closer to £100m.
However, the Gunners’ latest offer has fallen short of Hammers chairman David Sullivan’s valuation.
Arsenal will make a third offer for the England international having seen their original bid worth £80million turned down earlier this month.

It has been indicated to Mail Sport that Arsenal are willing to meet Rice’s £100m valuation. Their next offer will be closer to that mark.
Rice wants to join Arsenal and remains hopeful he will be a Gunners player by the end of the month.
Personal terms – well in-excess of £200,000-per-week – will be formally sealed quickly once West Ham and Arsenal agree a fee.
The Gunners are in advanced talks with the Blues over a new package understood to be worth a guaranteed £55million plus an extra £5m in bonuses – an offer that has been verbally communicated to Chelsea.
Having seen their original bid of around £50million turned down by Chelsea last week, Arsenal have continued talks with Chelsea over agreeing a fee for the Germany international.
The Gunners want to wrap a deal up quickly and already have a broad agreement in place over a personal terms.
Havertz will be offered a long-term contract worth a minimum of £210,000-per-week.

The ball is now in Chelsea’s court over whether to agree to sell Havertz for £60m. The Blues value the forward between £70m-£75m.
Pertinently, Havertz has already given the go-ahead to joining Arsenal provided the two clubs can agree a deal for his departure.
Chelsea want to raise funds as they look to press ahead with their own recruitment plans – which Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo is at the top of.
But Caicedo will cost at least £100m and Chelsea need to sell before being comfortable committing that level of money.
