There was some bad news for the Brazilian yesterday as well though…
Lucas Paqueta lasts just 74 minutes for Brazil after suffering shoulder injury
After scoring against Senegal, Paqueta had to leave the pitch just 16 minutes from the full-time whistle, after complaining about a shoulder injury.
Now, we all know how much trouble the South American has experienced with his shoulder.
Paqueta suffered serious shoulder injuries with West Ham this season just gone against Southampton away, and most recently during our home clash with Chelsea.
With Declan Rice widely expected to leave the London Stadium this summer, the Brazilian will have an even more important role to play next season.
Moyes needs him to be our talisman, and all of our play will undoubtedly go through the 25-year-old.
With that in mind, Lucas Paqueta remaining fit will be vital for West Ham, so his injury whilst playing for Brazil will undoubtedly be a concern.
Let’s hope that it’s nothing too serious.
Also, there are still six weeks or so remaining before the new season starts, so he has plenty of time to recover.
