UEFA have hit West Ham United with a caveated fan ban and a £50k fine over the Europa Conference League final crowd trouble.
West Ham fans are still walking on air after seeing their team lift a first major trophy for 43 years when they beat Fiorentina 2-1 in the Europa Conference League final earlier this month.
The triumph secured a third consecutive European campaign for West Ham as they will now enter the Europa League next season.
The final was marred by the behaviour of a small minority of fans in the West Ham end as Fiorentina skipper Cristiano Biraghi was hit with an object causing his head to gush with blood.

Cups rained down on the pitch during the game and the ugly incident saw West Ham’s players plead with fans to stop.
Fiorentina and Biraghi had called on UEFA to punish the Hammers.
And now they have.
UEFA have hit West Ham with a caveated fan ban and a £50k fine over the Europa Conference League final trouble.
European football’s governing body have confirmed West Ham fans will be banned from travelling to two away matches in next season’s Europa League.

But the caveat is that the second match ban has been suspended for two years. Which essentially means it will sit on file and should there be any further incidents, it will be activated.
It means no West Ham fans will be present for West Ham’s first away match in next season’s Europa League group stages.
The Hammers have also been hit with a £50,000 fine for the throwing of objects and fans invaded the pitch to celebrate.
Fiorentina were also hit with a ban and a fine for the behaviour of their fans during the semi-final against Basel.
“To fine West Ham United FC €50,000 (£43k) and to ban West Ham United FC from selling tickets to away supporters for its next two (2) UEFA competition matches, the second of which being suspended for a probationary period of two (2) years as from the date of this decision, for throwing of objects,” UEFA said in a statement on its website.
“To fine West Ham United FC €8,000 (£7k) for the invasion of the field of play.”
