Everton are open to offers for striker duo Neal Maupay and Ellis Simms this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The Merseysiders remain in financial difficulty and need to raise funds to allow Sean Dyche to make his own moves in the transfer market.
Football Insider revealed on Friday (30 June) that Everton are keen to add two strikers to their squad in the summer window.
Dyche is desperate to improve the potency of his side following another brush with relegation in the 2022-23 campaign – and has made signing multiple forwards a “top priority”.
But the Toffees are likely to have to first get Maupay and Simms off the books at Goodison Park.
Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (27 June) that Championship newcomers Ipswich Town have had a £4million bid for Simms rejected by Everton.
The 22-year-old striker is a target for several clubs in this summer’s transfer window – with Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Stoke City also chasing his signature.
Simms is entering the final year of his contract at Goodison Park.
Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed last month (20 June) that Maupay is attracting interest from France and Italy.
The Frenchman signed for Everton just last summer (2022) but has failed to make an impression on Merseyside.
He managed just one goal in 29 appearances across all competitions and couldn’t nail down a starting berth under Dyche despite the frequent absence of Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Meanwhile, Simms also scored once for Everton last term after being recalled from a loan at Sunderland at the beginning of January.
He managed seven goals across 17 appearances in the Championship before returning to the Toffees.
