Arsenal Fixture News report that Arsenal will release the 2023/24 away kit on Tuesday, July 18th, whilst on tour in America. The Gunners will then release the third kit on Tuesday, August 1st, upon their return to England.
The same source adds that they expect the away kit to be debuted in the MLS All-Star match on July 20th, and the third kit to get its first outing at the Emirates Cup against AS Monaco on August 2nd.
The new away kit is a mix of fluorescent yellow, black, and blue, and the leaked images have certainly proven controversial with fans.
The shirt is certainly something very different from anything Arsenal have worn in recent seasons, and it has the advantage of being particularly distinct from the home kit.
Last season’s pink shirt was popular with supporters, but if you can’t wear red and white in a match, you probably can’t wear pink either. The kit saw very little usage for the men’s team in 2022/23.
As for the third kit, the new shirt is a dark green with blue sleeves, and a cannon instead of the Arsenal badge on the chest.
The third kit has been much more popular with supporters, and it’s a throwback to the Adidas Arsenal goalkeeper kits from the 1990s.
It’s always easier to get a feel for a kit when it’s on the actual players, and it sounds like we won’t have to wait long for that now.
