A recent report claimed that the East London outfit were in talks to sign the 25-year-old forward.
David Moyes is desperate to add more pace and power to his Hammers front-line, so a move to sign Barnes would certainly make sense.
And it seems as though the Scot is close to bringing Barnes to the London Stadium…
West Ham are close to sealing absolutely brilliant Harvey Barnes signing
The Express reckon that the Hammers have won the race to sign the Leicester winger, beating off the likes of Tottenham and Newcastle for his signature.
This would be a real statement of intent from the East London outfit wouldn’t it.
He is a truly brilliant player and has absolutely everything that West Ham need.
Barnes has pace and power in abundance, and plays with a certain kind of directness that we really lack in the final third.
The 25-year-old bagged 13 Premier League goals last season, and he would offer Moyes something that he just doesn’t have at his disposal right now.
According to a recent report from the Guardian, West Ham are prepared to pay around £30 million for Harvey Barnes this summer.
And if Moyes manages to bring him to the London Stadium or that kind of money, I think it would be a great deal for the club.
