West Ham have been dealt a big blow with the news that Arsenal have upped their asking price for Folarin Balogun to £50 million.
According to Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth, Arsenal now value West Ham transfer target Folarin Balogun at a whopping £50 million.

Hammers boss David Moyes is in need of a new striker, with Danny Ings, Gianluca Scamacca and Michail Antonio all facing uncertain futures with the club.
Gunners attacker Balogun would be the ideal signing for us in my opinion.
However, the Scot faces a real fight on his hands if he is to bring the Arsenal ace to the club this summer…
Dharmesh Sheth makes huge Folarin Balogun claim as Arsenal play hardball with West Ham
Sheth reckons that the Gunners now want £50 million for the young forward. That seems like an awful lot of money, although it must be said that the 21-year-old is an elite striker.
Described by the Arsenal Way as an ‘elite finisher’, Balogun has the ability needed to really take West Ham to another level next season.
The 21-year-old was in sensational form for Reims in Ligue 1 this season just gone.
Balogun bagged 21 goals in 37 Ligue 1 games so far (Transfermarkt). That put him behind only Kylian Mbappe, Jonathan David and Alexandre Lacazette in the goalscoring charts.
He has pace and power in abundance and is perfectly suited to Moyes’s counter attacking system.
I will say that £50 million seems as little steep for Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun, and I’m not sure he’d be worth the punt for West Ham at that fee.
However, if we’re able to pick him up for closer to £35 million, then I think it will be a deal worth pursuing for the Hammers.
