The West Ham age barrier
Let’s hope that David Moyes and Tim Steidten between them can fulfil the biggest requirement required at West Ham when they finally swing into transfer action window.
Many, many names have been linked with the club since the window opened but what we need to see above all is the young and energetic squad we were promised by the manager around a year to 18 months ago.
Currently, we have the oldest, or near oldest squad in the Premier League, with such as Lukasz Fabianski 38, Aaron Cresswell 33, Angelo Ogbonna 35, Michail Antonio 33, Vladi Coufal 30, Kurt Zouma rising 29, Emerson , 30 next month.
It is an age barrier that started to find us out last season and we now need young and quality players in the club who can make a real difference to the pace and tempo of games.
Hopefully Steidten has a few in his locker, that Moyes is finally looking for them and that together they can address the Hammers generation gap
