Steidten on case for new central defender
It appears that Tim Steidten is already working his mojo as West Ham are reportedly at the front of the queue to sign German international Jonathan Tah
CandH have reported that we had an interest in the Leverkusen centre-back over the past few months and it now seems that things are progressing apace
Since Craig Dawson left the club in January, and with doubts over Angelo Ogbonna’s long-term future, plus Kurt Zouma’s history of injury problems, we need a top class defender
The Opta statistics make good reading as in 33 Bundesliga appearances for Leverkusen this season just gone, Tah averaged 1.2 interceptions and 3.5 clearances per game. He also won an average of 1.7 aerial duels per match and he made 49.4 passes per game on average in the Bundesliga and recorded a hugely impressive completion rate of 89.1%
Also Steidten knows Tah very well from his time at Bayer Leverkusen.
He seems somewhat undervalued at £15.5 million and would be an exciting addition to the London Stadium
Go get him Mr Steidten.
