A winner has been announced in the race for coveted Man United and West Ham target Robin Koch after his relegation with Leeds.
West Ham and Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for Leeds United defender Robin Koch.
The 26-year-old was a surprise name linked with West Ham, Man United and Newcastle last month following his relegation with Leeds.
That demotion to the Championship meant Koch is available on a free transfer due to a relegation clause in his contract.
Some fans of both the Hammers and Red Devils were not happy with the reported interest of their clubs with regards Koch.

There was even one report which claimed West Ham saw Koch as having the potential to play in central midfield when Declan Rice departs.
German site Kicker claimed Man United were ‘intensively considering’ signing Koch this summer. And the report also claimed they were ‘in the mix’ along with Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen.
According to Sport Bild journalist Toby Altschaffl, David Moyes also entered the race to sign Koch from Leeds in the summer transfer window.
West Ham’s interest was connected to the appointment of ex Bayer Leverkusen technical director and Koch’s fellow German Tim Steidten to the same role at the London Stadium.
With Newcastle spending the bulk of their restricted summer transfer kitty on midfielder Sandro Tonali, the tussle for Koch had narrowed to West Ham, Manchester United and clubs in Germany.
‘Done deal’ as reported West Ham and Manchester United target chooses Germany return
Now a winner has been announced in the race for coveted Man United and West Ham target Koch after his relegation with Leeds.
Because according to reports Koch has chosen to sign for West Ham’s European rivals Eintracht Frankfurt instead.
“Eintracht have scheduled medical tests for Robin Koch — done deal, he’s set to join German club on loan from Leeds as per BILD,” Fabrizio Romano also reports.
“Koch has accepted all conditions of the deal.”
Given he was available on a free, Koch may have proved shrewd business from Moyes or Erik ten Hag. Particularly as a squad player.
But he is joining Frankfurt according to the reports in a blow to both Man United and the Hammers.
Although given the apathy and dissatisfaction the original rumours were met with at Old Trafford and in east London, perhaps it was a wise choice from Koch – who will be guaranteed more game time at Frankfurt.
