West Ham United are trying to speed up a deal to sign Denis Zakaria from Juventus as Brighton eye up the midfielder.
According to journalist Rudy Galetti, West Ham want to get a deal for Denis Zakaria over the line with Brighton ready to join the race.

Hammers boss David Moyes needs to bolster this central midfield ranks at the London Stadium this summer, so a move to sign the 26-year-old Swiss ace would certainly make sense.
And it seems as though West Ham want to get this one done quickly…
West Ham dealt big Denis Zakaria blow as Brighton push for deal
Rudy Galetti reckons that the Hammers face strong competition from the Seagulls for the Switzerland international’s signature this summer.
And as a result, West Ham are trying to speed up a deal to bring Zakaria to the London Stadium before Brighton make their move.
The 26-year-old might not be a like-for-like replacement for Declan Rice, and he is nowhere near as good as the 24-year-old, but I believe he’d be a decent addition to our squad nonetheless.
Denis Zakaria possesses power, athleticism and dynamism in abundance and would add a lot to West Ham’s central midfield.
If Moyes brings the central midfielder to the London Stadium on loan with an option to buy him next summer, I think it would be a very shrewd move by the Scot.
Zakaria definitely possesses the attributes needed to succeed in the Premier League, what with its intense speed and robust nature.
Whether West Ham are able to beat Brighton to his signature this summer remains to be seen though.
