The £86m world star Joao Felix has been training in a West Ham shirt after being offered to Newcastle with his club looking to sell him.
West Ham fans rated Portuguese sensation Joao Felix as one of the best opposition players seen at the London Stadium last season when he visited with Chelsea.
And it seems the reported Newcastle United target appreciates West Ham too.
West Ham fans would undoubtedly love to see a player like Felix in their shirt next season.
But Champions League Newcastle are the ones being linked of late after Chelsea made the decision not to take up their option to buy him from Atletico Madrid.
Well West Ham don’t have to splash what would be a mammoth new club record fee for Hammers supporters to see Felix in their kit.
That’s after £86m world star Felix trained in a West Ham shirt after being offered to Newcastle with his club looking to sell him.
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has reportedly been offered the chance to sign Felix either on loan or on a permanent transfer.
The Portuguese star – who reportedly cost Atletico £136m – is searching for another escape route this summer after a complete breakdown in his relationship with the Spanish club’s boss Diego Simeone.
According to Spanish outlet MARCA – as also reported on Newcastle World – the Magpies are among the clubs to have been contacted by Felix’s agent Jorge Mendes.
Felix was said to be desperate to stay in London.
But new Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino passed up the buy-out option on the 23-year-old.
Now he has been spotted training in a West Ham shirt with Said Benrahma’s name and number on the back.
Pictures on social media show Felix wearing West Ham’s white and orange third shirt – which the Irons wore when they lifted the Europa Conference League trophy – as he trains to keep himself fit ahead of a return to pre-season training.
But don’t get your hopes up West Ham fans. Felix is being offered to mega rich Newcastle because Atletico want either £86m for a permanent deal or £13m just to loan him for one season.
You can see Felix training in the West Ham shirt in the post below.
Further proof, if it were needed, that West Ham truly are massive.
