West Ham hold further talks with Juventus over a loan deal for Denis Zakaria with midfielder identified as a potential replacement for Arsenal-bound Declan Rice
West Ham are sourcing replacements for Declan Rice and have held further talks with Juventus over a loan deal for Denis Zakaria.
The midfielder spent last season on loan at Chelsea but failed to impress at Stamford Bridge, making just seven Premier League appearances.
Chelsea were unwilling to meet the clause that would have seen Zakaria’s move become permanent.
However, this has not put the Irons off the Swiss international.
It is believed that talks have already been held to discuss the details of a transfer.

It was previously reported that Zakaria has been lined up as a potential replacement for Declan Rice.
The England international is set to join Arsenal in a club record £105million deal,
Ajax midfielder Edson Alvarez and Fulham’s Joao Palhinha have also been considered but are thought to be harder to sign than Zakaria.
Juventus are reportedly willing to let the midfielder depart this summer, and a return to London could be on the cards.
It remains to be seen as to whether a deal can be reached, but things are moving in the right direction for Zakaria to return to the Premier League.
