First signing imminent
Apart from our crunch game at Boreham Wood next Monday , there has been very little for Hammers fans to get excited about.
The delay in getting the Declan Rice deal over the line seems to have halted the Irons from being able to progress their own transfer plans.
But that is all likely to change if reports prove to be correct.
Apparently we are about to see our first summer signing walking into the London Stadium next week.
It goes without saying that one of the first (of many) positions to be filled will be in the form of a defensive midfielder. As reported earlier by CandH, the Juventus star Denis Zakaria could easily be our first summer signing.
Seemingly, like half the footballers on the planet he was previously on loan to Chelsea, before leaving for “La Vecchia Signora” ( Old lady for any Millwall supporters reading this)
The Swiss International is expected to sign for €15m
Once Moyes and David Sullivan have signed off on this particular deal, it will be all systems go for squad strengthening in other areas, given that there’s a European as well as domestic campaign to negotiate.
With Tim Steidten taking a more visible role, there is no reason why we should not be able to build a more than decent squad.
