Ridiculous Scamacca bid rejected
AC Milan have a had a ridiculous bid for Gianluca Scamacca rejected according to reports in the Italian media.
Milan are rich with cash following the sale of Sandro Tonali to Newcastle. However it seems the Serie A club are keeping a tight grip on their new found wealth. Ruben Loftus-Cheek has arrived from Chelsea for €16 million and they have signed two players on a free.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has retired after a distinguished career and Milan are in the prowl for his replacement. AC had chased Marcus Thuram for the best part of a year but he has embarrassingly joined rivals Inter.
As a result The Rossoneri have turned their attentions to our own Gianluca Scamacca. Unfortunately it appears that Milan are trying to do the deal on the cheap and have offered Divock Origi in part exchange.
Understandably West Ham have no interest in the exchange. Origi is a free aganet who was released by Liverpool having been surplus to requirements. Gianluca Scamacca is a £35 million Italian international who will not be sold on the cheap.
This is not the first time a Serie A club have chanced their arm in the pursuit of Scamacca. Roma, Juventus and Milan have all attempted to secure the strikers services on loan.
The Hammers board have no intention of allowing the Italian forward to leave on such ridiculous terms. Clearly there is an intent to repatriate Scamacca but Serie A funds are clearly in short supply.
Without a significant bid, Scamacca will be registered and continue playing for West Ham this season.
