Four players on West Ham wanted list
West Ham are being linked with four new arrivals following David Moyes admission his sole focus is on bringing players into the club with the Rice deal settled.
And Sky Sports reporter Sharmesh Seth has claimed that a central defender is the main priority before the club look for a couple of midfielders and a striker.
Seth has good contacts with West Ham and it seems that he has become aware that beyond Manchester United’s Harry Maguire three other defenders are on the radar.
He says they are Torino’s Perr Schuurs, Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathon Tah, and Real Betis’ Luiz Felipe Maguire are being considered.
He adds the Hammers are exploring the option of both a loan and a permanent deal for the 30-year-old Maguire.
It may well be that the Bayer Leverkusen star is one of those that Tim Steidten has suggested and will be hoping that Moyes is mutually agreeable.
He has close ties with Tah and his former club Leverkusen. And ex Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini is Felipe’s manager at Betis meaning channels of communication would not be an issue there either.
Beyond the new central defender Moyes wants midfielders and striker with a key West Ham contact admitting to CandH they have up to 20 targets on the radar.
