West Ham begun life after Declan Rice with a comfortable 6-2 win over Perth Glory on their pre-season tour.
It was inspired by an excellent performance from Jarrod Bowen, who scored a brace and picked up an assist.
The visitors’ took the lead after just 70 seconds as Daniel Chesters fired a cross-cum shot past the Perth keeper.
Gianluca Scamacca doubled the lead from the penalty spot 20 minutes later after Pablo Fornals was brought down in the box following a classy flick from Scamacca.
While the Hammers did dominate for most of the first half, there were a few flashes of brilliance from Perth on the right wing, mainly through Adam Taggart.

He crossed a dangerous ball into the box late in the first half, which Luizao was unfortunate to turn into his own net and make it 2-1.
Bowen looked sharp after coming off the bench at half time, and restored the Hammers’ two goal lead with a classy first-time finish into the roof of the net after a nice ball in from Emerson Palmieri.
They then swapped roles, with Bowen whipping in an excellent cross into the box which Emerson headed neatly past the keeper.
There was a bit of a scare when Perth made it 4-2 minutes later, but the visitors were back in control when Divin Mubama headed in a cross from the impressive Chesters.
Bowen then completed his brace to complete a convincing win.
Fornals produced moments of quality throughout the game, and should have made it five late on when he fired a shot against the post in the closing moments.
The Hammers will remain in Perth for their next game, which will see them face London rivals Tottenham in another pre-season friendly.
