London Stadium transformation

The London Stadium is now being transformed back to an athletics for the last summer event before it returns to a football stadium
The Hammers last home game of last season was played on 21st May against Leeds United, a match which resulted in a 3-1 victory
Two weeks later it was transformed into a music venue to host Burna Boy on Saturday 3rd June in front of a sell out 80,000 crowd
The stadium was then transformed into a Major League Baseball venue for the London Series with the St. Louis Cardinals playing the Chicago Cubs Saturday 24th and Sunday 25 June
The event saw 100,000 fans over the two year event,
Friday 7 and Saturday 8 July saw The Weeknd world tour, over the two nights, he played to a huge 160,000 people, breaking the attendance record for both a two-night stand.
Last weekend saw the return of the Monster Jam truck show on Saturday 15 July in front of 50,000 avoid fans.
Finally the London Stadium is now being transformed into an Athletics stadium for the Diamond league event on Sunday 23 July with around 40,000 expected.
West Ham return to the London Stadium on 20th August against Chelsea with kick off of 4.30pm in the Premier League.
