West Ham United haven’t given up on signing Harvey Barnes, and have an advantage over Newcastle United due to our better contacts with Leicester City.
According to football journalist Rudy Galetti, West Ham are still very much in the race with Newcastle to sign Harvey Barnes in the summer transfer window.

West Ham are thought to be trailing Newcastle in the race for Barnes. Sean Whetstone, a reporter close to David Sullivan, even suggested yesterday that the Hammers boss David Moyes had pulled out of the race to sign the 25-year-old.
However, it seems as though that may well not exactly be the case.

Barnes is a stunning player, and was once labelled as ‘unbelievable’ by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp (Metro). Meanwhile, Total Football Analysis label him as ‘rapid’.
Harvey Barnes would take West Ham to another level if Moyes manages to sign him this summer.
It was a huge concern to read reports claiming that the 25-year-old is on the verge of joining Newcastle.
It seems as though we are far from out of the race though, as the Hammers push to bring the Leicester star to East London.
