Hammers still waiting with just three weeks left
Three weeks to go until we travel to Bournemouth for the first game of the season and not a player signed or seemingly close to being.
I am not a fan of bringing in loads of players in – a point perhaps proven last summer when eight arrived and we struggled throughout the remainder of the Premier League campaign.
Now, here we are again, waiting for something more positive than Hammers insiders claiming that we have a target list of up to 20.
One would have hoped that via agents we would have come close to finding those we really wanted as the end of the season approached. That’s the way it works and how other clubs get organised as the window approaches.
Ok, you can’t reach out to clubs but agents are always on the case getting things sorted, yet as CandH’s Simon pointed out yesterday we are still lagging some way behind others.
It’s all well and good doing due diligence but one has to come to the conclusion that David Moyes is very slow to make his mind up on who he wants.
As we understand things the Hammers want two midfielders, a central defender and possibly a striker and with three weeks left to bed them into the system it needs to happen quickly.
Sadly we are not holding our breath – it appears to be the same old same old every window – and it has to be said this is an unhelpful way of going about things.
The question needs to be asked: Why are the Hammers waiting AGAIN?
