For several years, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have been engaged in intense competition on the transfer market.
The time when FC Barcelona was identified as the number one enemy of Paris Saint-Germain seems to be over. Despite their history with the capital club, Barça have been supplanted in this role by their arch-rivals, Real Madrid. Nasser Al-Khelaïfi and Florentino Perez have long had a cordial relationship thanks to their respective activities outside of football. But the two leaders have been at a cold war for several years.
The causes of this antagonism are well identified. There is the Super League, a project led by Perez and of which Al-Khelaïfi is the main opponent. There is obviously the Mbappé soap opera, too. Which is more like an endless telenovela. A series that the Iberian press feeds almost daily, reveling in the current turmoil which is cooling relations between the French world champion and his management. And then there is everything else. Other less flashy files, but conducive to accentuate this battle between the two clubs.

The latest example concerns centre-forward Dusan Vlahovic. The Serbian international is identified as Paris Saint-Germain’s plan B in the event of failure for the track leading to Harry Kane. Paris has already advanced its pawns since an agreement in principle has even been reached with the player for the finalization of this transfer. But according to Sky Sports, Real Madrid would be ready to style Luis Campos to secure the services of Vlahovic.
In search of a number 9 since the departure of Karim Benzema in Saudi Arabia, Real would have set its sights on the Juventus striker. An ideal situation for the Piedmontese club, ready to raise the stakes – unless this supposed interest is only intended to see PSG pay the high price… In this new PSG-Real match, all the shots (low) are allowed.
