Dharmesh Sheth has lifted the lid on what he’s heard about Chelsea star Conor Gallagher’s view of joining West Ham.
West Ham’s move for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher is a fast developing story and there has been a very interesting update.
Claim and counter claim about a deal between West Ham and Chelsea for the England midfielder has been made in the last week or so.
West Ham’s interest in Chelsea star Gallagher can be charted back as far as last summer.
Last Tuesday it was being reported that West Ham were closing in on a £25m move for Gallagher as reports emerged from Germany of all places.

A couple of days later talk was doing the rounds that Spurs were battling West Ham to do a deal with Chelsea and had ‘already held talks’.

Yesterday there was real encouragement for the Hammers as a report emerged stating Chelsea had placed Gallagher on the transfer list.
Sky Sports then claimed this morning that West Ham have seen a £40m bid rejected by Chelsea.
Guardian journalist Jacob Steinberg then said there is some surprise within West Ham that there have been claims a bid totalling £47 million including add-ons was lodged for the player dubbed by Wayne Rooney as ‘Declan Rice lite’.
But what does the player think about the potential move?
Dharmesh Sheth has lifted the lid on what he’s heard about Chelsea star Gallagher’s view of joining West Ham.
And according to Sky Sports’ top transfer reporter, it’s good news for West Ham if they can get a bid accepted by their London rivals.
‘West Ham are getting a bit of encouragement’
“They’re trying and they’re trying hard (to replace Declan Rice) West Ham United,” Sheth said on Sky Sports’ The Transfer Show at 5.22pm on Tuesday July 25th.
“They’re not giving up on signing the Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher. We understand they had a bid worth around £40m rejected but talks, we’re told, are ongoing between West Ham and Chelsea.
“We think that West Ham are getting a bit of encouragement, well enough encouragement, that Conor Gallagher would be open to that move.
“Look he’s got two years left on his contract at Chelsea… who for their part are open to extending that contract. However, I don’t think it can be ruled out a move from Chelsea to West Ham United.
“If it was to materialise and West Ham and Chelsea can agree on a deal, then it would be left to Gallagher to decide. It will have to be driven by him effectively.”
