Chelsea want £45m for Conor Gallagher as they continue talks with West Ham
- West Ham’s move for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher has not progressed
- Southampton are expecting a revised offer from for James Ward-Prowse, 28
- West Ham are also interested in United’s Scott McTominay and Harry Maguire
West Ham’s move for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher has not progressed after talks over a potential fee.
The Hammers are looking for midfield reinforcements after Declan Rice decided to join Arsenal earlier this month.
However, Chelsea want at least £45million for Gallagher – who started eight of Chelsea’s last nine of the most recent campaign.
Gallagher currently has two years left on his deal at Stamford Bridge, but Chelsea are willing to sell him to fund new signings.
Meanwhile, Southampton are expecting a revised offer from West Ham’s for James Ward-Prowse after they offered £25m in structured payments.

The reigning Europa Conference League champions are waiting for a response from the south coast side after making their opening offer earlier this week.
Ward-Prowse has long been linked with a move to the capital and is one of a number of Saints stars expected to jump ship after Southampton were relegated.
Southampton value their long-standing servant at £40m, with West Ham’s first bid a little more than half of that figure as they try to negotiate a lesser fee.
West Ham have also spoken to Manchester United about signing Scotland international Scott McTominay and their former captain Harry Maguire.
West Ham view McTominay as a potential replacement for Rice, but United view him as an important member of the squad. Therefore, it would require a very big offer for the Red Devils to consider a sale.
Additionally, Hammers boss David Moyes is willing to offer Maguire, 30, a chance of a fresh start elsewhere in the Premier League.
However, the former Manchester United captain would need to take a substantial pay cut to fit in with West Ham’s wage structure.
Additionally, Mail Sport understands that United see Maguire as an important part of the squad and will not force the England international out of Old Trafford.
