With fewer than six weeks now left of the summer transfer window, clubs across the globe are looking to reinforce their squads ahead of the new campaign.
The Saudi Pro League’s emergence as a destination for many of European football’s top talents has been the story of the summer so far, perhaps more so after the landmark bid for Kylian Mbappe that emerged in recent days from Al-Hilal.
However there have been several big-money deals in the Premier League with Declan Rice joining Arsenal for £105million – the most expensive in the English top-flight so far this summer – and Jude Bellingham’s move to Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund was at last finalised for an initial £88m.
And there are still a number of seismic deals that could yet go through as the transfer season continues apace, with Harry Kane consistently linked with a Bayern Munich switch and Manchester United interested in Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund.
