Hammer Mubama gains a fan who really matters
Divin Mubama is gathering more fans from among the people who really matter.
Talk of new striker signings have diminished since the teenager made such an impression for the Hammers over recent months.
Born in Newham and an academy product makes him a hugely exciting individual among us fans who love nothing more than to see our own make it all the way within the club.
Both the manager and Billy McKinlay have spoken very highly of the lad and they are not alone because now Aaron Cresswell has joined the chorus of praise.
Speaking to the Athletic he recalled watching him and explaining to Craig Dawson that this was a boy with a future. To be fair it has been really clear to most of us that Divin is heading for the heights.
But to be hearing the same thing from the manager, his assistant and such a long serving Hammer is pretty convincing proof.
Cresswell said Cresswell said: “Divin doesn’t know about this, but I remember sitting with Craig Dawson on the balcony in Evian.
“[Divin] trained with us for a few days and I said [to Dawson], ‘This boy has a big chance here’. I remember the shooting sessions and we were doing two-v-twos and three-v-threes. I just kept thinking this boy has a real chance.”
