West Ham selling Gianluca Scamacca for £17 million would be an absolute travesty
Having signed the Italian for £35 million last summer, Moyes surely would have known what kind of player he was.
The 24-year-old is as far away from a Michail Antonio type striker that you can find, so it seemed to me that by signing Scamacca, Moyes planned to change his system.
That didn’t happen at all though. The former Sassuolo man was left isolated through the middle on his own, with much of his good work going to waste.
Gianluca Scamacca is an unbelievably talented forward and has the ability needed to be a really key player for West Ham. The 24-year-old has exceptional technical ability and has just been wasted by Moyes as far as I’m concerned.
He has been criminally misused during his time at the London Stadium.
And if the Hammers sell him to Roma for just £17 million, it will undoubtedly go on to be something that the powers that be at the London Stadium regret.
