A fresh Gianluca Scamacca claim has been made and this time it’s serious money guaranteed for the wantaway West Ham striker.
Who would have thought West Ham fans would see a transfer saga more nauseating than the Declan Rice deal in this summer transfer window.
Well they have and it’s centered around Italian forward Gianluca Scamacca.
Hammers supporters were surprised to see Scamacca named on the bench for the 3-1 friendly defeat to Rennes on Saturday.
Because it came amid the latest round of rumours about his future with claims from Calciomercato that a deal had been struck with Roma for him to join on loan for £4m with a £19m option to buy.
Those claims were swiftly denied by a source close to the West Ham board yesterday.

Now a fresh Scamacca claim has been made and this time it’s serious money guaranteed for the wantaway West Ham striker.
Earlier today Football Insider reported Scamacca will not play for West Ham again ahead of a loan move to Roma with an obligation to buy.
And now it is being claimed the Hammers forward – who has made it perfectly clear in public on more than one occasion he wants a return to Italy and specifically Roma – is close to joining Roma from West Ham on a one-year loan with an obligation to buy for around £25m.
That’s much better money than was being reported previously – with £17m quoted in reports when he was first linked.
If Roma pay the £4m loan fee which was being touted in the reports on Saturday, then it totals around £29m for the player.
And West Ham’s original deal with Sassuolo was actually £30m with £5m in add-ons according to reports last summer.
Some West Ham fans want to see Scamacca given another season to prove himself.
Others are getting sick of the constant rumours and his comments in the press.
There are also doubts as to whether David Moyes can get the best out of him.
Indeed Michail Antonio publicly said Scamacca is not a Moyes type of player and said he needs a boss who plays a different style of football.
Gazzetta dello Sport claimed earlier this week that West Ham will sanction the Italy striker’s exit when a reportedly imminent deal for Man City starlet Calors Borges is confirmed.
So if this latest report is true then that could point to West Ham finally being on the verge of their first signing of the summer.
