Todd Boehly is said to be in talks with PSG’s top brass about a cash-plus-player deal to sign Kylian Mbappe, while Arsenal are very tentatively linked with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia…
BLUES IN BID TO BAG MBAPPE
PSG know Real Madrid’s game. RMC Sport says the Parisians are expecting the Spaniards to make an ‘extremely low and insulting’ offer for Kylian Mbappe late in the transfer window. Of course they are. So PSG seem to be doing their best to shift Mbappe beforehand.
A ridiculous offer was accepted last week from Al Hilal but the France star refused to discuss even more ridiculous terms with the Saudi club. So, according to the Daily Record, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has held ‘direct discussions’ with Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly over a possible deal to take Mbappe to Stamford Bridge.
Apparently, those talks have centred around a cash-plus-player proposal from the Blues, though it is not mentioned which Chelsea players might be chucked in. The Mirror has claimed that Liverpool are also talking to PSG about a one-year loan which would see the Ligue 1 champions receive a hefty fee for parking Mbappe at Anfield before his intended move for free to Real next summer.

ARSENAL CREDITED WITH KVARADONNA INTEREST
Arsenal have spent more than any other club this summer. And they will have to shell out another huge wedge if there is any truth in a report they may be keen on Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Football Transfers reckons the Gunners have ‘expressed interest’ in the Georgia star and they have taken encouragement from Victor Osimhen remaining at Napoli this summer.
That means the Serie A champions may be more open to offers for Kvaratskhelia, and Arsenal are also boosted by a pre-existing relationship with Napoli’s new sporting director Mauro Meluso. It is claimed the parties are on good terms after Meluso, as a consultant, recommended Jakob Kiwior to the Gunners. Though it seems a massive stretch to suggest he might do Mikel Arteta any favours over Kvaratskhelia, who would cost Arsenal another club-record sum.
GUNNERS BOOSTED BY BAYERN’S LOW-BALL BID FOR RAYA
There seems more validity in links between Arsenal and David Raya, even if the Gunners already have a perfectly good goalkeeper.
Apparently, Arteta wants to sign the Brentford stopper, who would cost in the region of £40million, to compete for the gloves with Aaron Ramsdale.
Arsenal face competition from Bayern Munich for the Spain stopper, but The Guardian says talks between the Bavarians and Brentford are currently on hold after their first offer, based on a loan deal, was rejected.
