West Ham United are reportedly in the strongest position financially to sign Mbala Nzola from Spezia this summer.
According to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport (print edition August 5th, page 16), West Ham can ‘outmuscle’ Fiorentina in the race to sign Mbala Nzola in the summer transfer window.
Hammers boss David Moyes needs to sign a new centre-forward with Gianluca Scamacca set to join Atalanta – preferably one who suits his counter-attacking system.
And it seems as though Nzola could be the man for the job at the London Stadium…

West Ham have big advantage over Fiorentina in race to sign £13m Antonio replacement Mbala Nzola
Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Spezia believe they can get €15 million (£13 million) from West Ham for the Angola international, whilst Fiorentina have offered just €10 million (£8.6 million) for him.
Getting the signing of someone like the Spezia forward over the line before transfer deadline day will be crucial for the Hammers as far as I’m concerned.
Nzola would be a huge upgrade on Michail Antonio in my opinion.
He bagged 15 goals and three assists in 34 games for Spezia last season (Transfermarkt).
The Spezia forward seems to be perfectly built for the robust and intense nature of Premier League football, what with his pace, movement and physicality.
If West Ham sign Mbala Nzola for just £13 million this summer, I think it will be good business for the club.
