Everton are actively working on moving Andre Gomes on as he doesn’t feature in Sean Dyche’s plans for the season, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed any potential exit in the coming days will benefit the Toffees from a Financial Fair Play standpoint.
The transfer window in Turkey remains open until next week (15 September) and could be his last chance to seal a move away from Goodison Park this summer.
Gomes spent last season on loan at Ligue 1 side Lille but didn’t do enough to earn a permanent move to northern France.
He made 27 appearances while with Les Dogues, registering three goals and two assists.
The midfielder reportedly earns more than £110,000-a-week on his Everton contract – which runs until June 2024.
Gomes, who signed for £22million when he joined the Toffees from Barcelona in 2019, can discuss a pre-contract agreement with foreign sides from 1 January.
He reached 100 appearances for the club with his last outing in the Premier League in May 2022.
However, he is yet to play in the 2023-24 campaign with Dyche looking elsewhere for answers in the midfield area.
Demarai Gray, Moise Kean, Alex Iwobi, Tom Cannon, Ellis Simms and Niels Nkounkou are among the stars to leave Goodison Park for transfer fees since the end of last season.
Midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin, who also cost a whopping £25million in 2019, was released by Everton earlier this summer after unsuccessful attempts to find him a new club.
Dyche’s side are still without a Premier League win in the new season after drawing 2-2 away at Sheffield United last time out.
